Terms of Service
Last updated 14 October 2026
These terms apply when you buy services from Crown Ecommerce through this website. Crown Ecommerce is a trading name of Crown Ecommerce. In these terms "we", "us" and "our" mean Crown Ecommerce, and "you" means the business or person buying our services.
1. Our services
We provide ecommerce management services for online marketplace and web stores, such as listing creation, order processing, customer service, account-health monitoring and product research. What is included in each plan or one-time service is described on this website at the time you buy. Anything outside that description is agreed separately in writing.
2. Buying and payment
- Prices are shown in pounds sterling (GBP). Payments are processed securely by Stripe; we never see or store your full card details.
- Monthly plans are billed in advance and renew automatically each billing period until cancelled.
- One-time services are paid in full at checkout.
- If a recurring payment fails, we may pause work until it is resolved.
3. Getting started
After payment we will ask for details about your stores. Work starts once we have the information and access we need. Your account manager will confirm the start date with you.
4. Your responsibilities
- You remain the owner of your marketplace and store accounts and are responsible for them.
- You give us accurate information and the access we need, using each marketplace's user-permission tools where available.
- You are responsible for the legality, safety and compliance of products you supply or approve, and for your own tax obligations.
- You tell us promptly about anything that may affect our work, such as account warnings or policy notices.
5. Results
We work hard to grow your sales and protect your accounts, but marketplaces control their own platforms, rules and fees. We cannot guarantee specific sales, rankings or outcomes, and we are not responsible for decisions made by a marketplace.
6. Cancellation and refunds
You can cancel a monthly plan at any time. Our Refund & Cancellation Policy explains how cancellations and refunds work.
6A. Managed Store (profit-share) plan
These additional terms apply when we run your store under a Managed Store plan. If they conflict with the rest of these terms, these win.
- Application and start. We accept stores by application. The plan starts when you pay the onboarding fee. The takeover date is the day we confirm in writing that we have taken over day-to-day running of the store; everything below is counted from that date. Sales, orders, stock and costs from before the takeover date are yours alone.
- Onboarding fee. A one-time fee, shown on this website when you apply, paid at checkout. It covers the takeover, audit and setup work and is not refundable once the takeover has started.
- Net result. For each calendar month (the first and last may be part months) we prepare a statement: sales received minus marketplace fees, cost of stock bought for orders, advertising, refunds and returns, and any other cost agreed with you in writing. The result is the month's net profit or net loss.
- Profit and loss are shared. We keep a running account from the takeover date. Each month's net result is added to the balance. When the balance is positive, our fee is 40% of it and the balance resets to zero. When the balance is zero or negative, no fee is charged and the loss is carried forward to be cleared by later profit before any fee is charged again. If the agreement ends while the balance is negative, we pay you 40% of that balance within 30 days, so the loss is shared in the same proportion as profit.
- Statements and payment. We send the statement by the 7th of the following month. You have 7 days to query it; after that it is final. Our fee is invoiced through Stripe and charged to the card saved at onboarding (or paid by the invoice link within 7 days). Figures come from the marketplace's own reports and the purchase records we keep for your store, which you can see at any time.
- Payouts, stock and cards. Marketplace payouts go to your own bank account. Stock for your orders is bought with the card or account you provide, only on the suppliers and services we have agreed in writing. You can set spending limits and should check the card regularly. Any other use of the card needs your approval first.
- Term and notice. The minimum term is 12 months from the takeover date. After that, either side can end the agreement with 30 days' written notice. We keep running the store, and statements continue, until the notice period ends; the final statement covers the period up to the end date.
- Access. If you remove our access, change the login or take over the running of the store yourself before the agreement ends, the fee for that month is calculated on the full month, and the minimum term still applies.
- Ending early. Either side may end the agreement at once if the other seriously breaks it and does not put it right within 14 days of being told, or if the marketplace permanently closes the store.
7. Confidentiality
We keep your business information and account access confidential and use it only to provide our services. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle personal data.
8. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Otherwise, our total liability to you in connection with our services is limited to the fees you paid us in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim, and we are not liable for loss of profit, loss of business, or losses caused by marketplace actions, suspensions or policy changes.
9. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page at the time you buy applies to that purchase. For ongoing plans, we will tell you about material changes before they take effect.
10. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
