Stay compliant without thinking about it.
A UK company comes with deadlines: VAT returns, the annual confirmation statement, year-end accounts and corporation tax. We handle the filings with our partner accountant, track every due date and remind you before anything is late, so you can focus on selling.
What we take care of
- VAT registration with HMRC and VAT number for your marketplaces
- Annual confirmation statement filed at Companies House
- Year-end accounts and CT600 corporation tax return
- Deadline tracking and reminders
- Plain-English answers to your tax and filing questions
VAT registration for ecommerce sellers
UK companies must register for VAT once taxable turnover passes the threshold, and businesses based outside the UK that store goods in the UK must register regardless of turnover. Marketplaces also ask for your VAT number and will restrict accounts that cannot provide one when required. We prepare and submit the application, handle HMRC's questions and add the VAT number to your marketplace accounts.
Confirmation statement and annual accounts
- Confirmation statement: every UK company must confirm its details with Companies House at least once a year, with a filing fee. Miss it and the company can be struck off.
- Annual accounts: due at Companies House within nine months of your financial year end.
- Corporation Tax return (CT600): due to HMRC within twelve months of the year end, with the tax itself payable nine months and one day after.
Our partner accountant prepares the accounts and return; we track the dates and chase what is needed from you well in advance.
Why marketplace sellers use us for this
Most accountants do not understand marketplace reports: fees, promoted listing charges, refunds and deemed-supplier VAT all need treating correctly. We work from the actual settlement reports of eBay, Amazon, TikTok Shop and OnBuy, so the figures reconcile and HMRC questions have answers.
Fixed prices, no surprises
VAT registration is a one-off fixed price. The confirmation statement and the annual accounts with CT600 are yearly subscriptions, so the cost is known in advance and the deadline is never missed. Prices are shown below.
